Membership Management Data
The Association uses membermojo.co.uk to help manage its membership information.
Most data is obtained directly from members when they apply to join the Association. The membership data is held securely and used only for legitimate Ely DA purposes in line with the Association's Privacy Statement. Our contract with membermojo contains appropriate provisions to maintain the security and confidentiality of the data as set out in membermojo's General Data Protection Regulation page and the pages linked from that.
Access to most data is restricted to the individual member themselves, to District Membership Secretaries and to other members with an appropriate need. Data already published in the printed Annual Report is optionally made available to other members of the Association in an on-line directory.
Data managed by members
As a member, you can view and update most of your data at any time (see the Management page for details) and you will be encouraged to check it annually when you renew your subscription. We will not normally change this data except at your request, or if obviously wrong.
First Name (Text, REQUIRED)
First or preferred name, e.g. "Bob" for "Robert". Intended for use in salutations, e.g. "Dear [fisrt_name]" and alphabetic lists by first name. Unlikely to include a title or initials.
Last Name (Text, REQUIRED)
Full first name and any initials (Text)
As used in the annual report, peal records, etc. Ofren a more complete and formal name, e.g. "J Robert Q". Leave blank to use First Name.
Email (Email address)
Required for on-line applications and can't be removed from existing records by the member themselves. Administrators can create new member records for people with no email address and remove existing ones. Members without an email address can't login to manage their data, can't make on-line payments and obviously won't receive emailed subscription reminders or messages sent to mailing lists. Duplicates are only allowed when one member manages another (see Managing Other Members).

Rarely populated.
Mobile number (Phone no)
Rarely populated.
Membership (Choice, REQUIRED)
One of "Patron", "Ringing Member", "Junior Ringing Member", "Honorary Member", "Senior Ringing Member", "Clerical Member".
Senior Ringing Member donation (Money value)
Any donation this year by a Senior Ringing Member in lieu of paying a subscription.
Date of birth (Date, REQUIRED for Junior Ringing Members)
Home tower (Choice, REQUIRED)
The name of the tower where the member normally rings and under which they will appear in the Association Annual Report.
Annual report delivery (Choice, REQUIRED)
Choice of how the member would like to receive the Association Annual Report. 'On-line' or 'Printed'.
Mailing lists (Multiple tick boxes)
Choice of which Association and District email lists the members is subscribed to. Members are initially subscribed to the Association-wide list and the lists for their Districts, but can unsubscribe from these or subscribe to other lists as they wish. Members can also unsubscribe by followig an 'Unsubscribe' link at the bottom of all emails sent to the lists.
Member Directory (Tick box)
Whether or not this member appears in the Member Directory.
Other information (Text)
Information provided by the member that will appear in the members directory (tower captaincy, Association offerships and committee memberships, etc.).
Proposer (Text, REQUIRED for applications)
For an application, the name of an existing member, ideally a Tower Captain or equivalent, willing to propose the new member.
Name of parent or guardian (Text REQUIRED for members under 18)
The name of the parent or guardian most recently accepting the terms and conditions for members under the age of 18.
Data managed by site admins only
Some data is managed by and can only be updated by administrators - contact your Membership Secretary if it needs to be changed.
District (Choice, REQUIRED)
District containing Home Tower and to which the member was elected and pays their subscription.
Year Elected (REQUIRED)
Year first elected to the Association.
Additional tower (Choice)
Additional home tower (rarely used).
Additional district (Choice)
Additional District to which the member has been elected (rarely used).
Previous Names (Text)
Previous names by which the member has been known to the Association.
Membership notes (Text)
Additional notes about this membership, breaks in membership, etc.
System-managed data
Some other data is required for the system to function and is managed automatically and is not all directly visible to members. Some of this can be updated by administrators, other items will only change in response to other events (such as changes to membership state as a result of subscriptions expiring or being renewed).

Date loaded into membermojo (NOT date elected)
Expires on (Date)
Date current subscription expires (or expired!).
Renewed on (Date, READONLY)
Date of most recently successful application or renewal.
Months (Number)
Length of current subscription in months.
Site role (Choice)
“Member”, “Admin”, ‘Readonly Admin”.

Unused by Ely DA.
Membership state (Choice, READONLY)
Current state of membership. One of 'Pending Approval", "Pending Completion", Active", "Expired", "Pending Payment".
System email (Choice)
Controls delivery of system-generated emails.“All”, “No expiry”, “No expiry or 28 Day”, “None”.
Unsubscribe expiry email (Yes/No)
Unsubscribed from reminder and expiry emails (set by following an 'unsubscribe' link; cleared from the Your Membership page).
Unsubscribe group email (Yes/No)
Unsubscribed from all group emails (set by following an 'unsubscribe' link; cleared from the Your Membership page).
Block sending group emails (Yes/No)
Blocked from sending group email.
